Twitter Power 2.0: How to Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time

The best guide to using Twitter to market to consumers–revised and better than ever

Since 2006, forward–thinking companies like Apple, JetBlue, Whole Food, and GM have discovered the instant benefits of leveraging social media site Twitter to reach consumers directly, build their brand, and increase their sales. Some companies have whole teams of specialists whose only job is to respond to the tweets of consumers.

In this revised and updated edition of Twitter Power, online marketing guru Joel Comm explores the latest trends in how businesses and marketers can integrate Twitter into their existing marketing strategies to build a loyal following among Twitter members, expand awareness of their product or service, and even handle negative publicity due to angry or disappointed customers.

  • Updated with thirty percent new material, including all the latest business applications for Twitter
  • Includes new, recent case studies of companies at the forefront of the Twitter movement
  • Helps you develop your own social networking strategy to meet your specific business needs

Twitter Power is a must–have resource for any business leader who wants to keep up with the social media movement.

Given that Twitter is a 140 character micro blog, you would be forgiven for wondering why you need a book to be able to make the most of it.

However, Joel Comm's book provides real insight for the virgin twitterer who plans to use Twitter as a marketing tool for business. He fully explores all the built in Twitter features and shows you everything from maxing your Twitter appearance to keeping your tweets on the right side of libel!

He also explores the profusion of applications created to help you make the most of Twitter. However, bear in mind that the app list will have been superceded almost as soon as the ink dried on the printed page. I'd advise checking out the current selection of apps IN ADDITION to those outlined in the book.

Good book - absolutely worth the money if you plan to use Twitter in a business capacity. Not heavy on the jargon - I found it easy to read and I'm not a techie minded person at all.

Unfortunately, the whole business world is switching on to Twitter and it is increasingly being used in this way - which gets a bit annoying for everyone else on there who doesn't want a marketing man selling them anything. Read the etiquette section carefully so that you don't end up annoying people.
